Linux Kernel Engineer

What you’ll be doing:
Design documentation, quick prototyping, code review, build process and test automation while leading the activities, communication and collaboration vital for successful product releases.
Deep dive into Android system software stacks which interact with the whole Android platform and NVIDIA DRIVE OS stacks for automotive.
As a kernel engineer in team, you will design, develop, and debug functional aspects of Linux kernel internals on top of NVIDIA CPU and GPU technologies.
Performance engineering is also a meaningful area where your crucial contribution is encouraged for the best user experiences.
What we need to see:
In-depth expertise on Linux kernel internals (CPU scheduling, memory management, file systems, I/O systems and virtualization)
Proven track record of strong software development
Strong skills in kernel performance, memory usage and I/O throughputs analysis and improvement
Hands-on experience on root causing kernel functional issues and panics/stability issues
Rich experiences on ARM SoC/x86 kernel development and debugging
Excellent C/C++/Rust and ARM/x86 assembly programming skills
Strong Computer Science fundamentals and problem solving skills
5+ years experience in software development teams
BS/MS degree in Computer Science/Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience
Proactive and able to work efficiently across different functional teams
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
Contribution to Linux kernel open source projects
Experience on Android platform development (especially, Android Automotive)
Cross domain knowledge on embedded system software and hardware
Experience in productization of large-scale end user devices

Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
