Senior Audiovisual Engineer

Roblox is looking for a Sr Audiovisual Engineer. This role will be a part of the Client Service team within Corporate Engineering. As a member of the team, you'll be responsible for planning, managing company AV applications and tools. This includes partnering with teams (Events, Facilities, Executive Business Partners and other organizational partners) to assist with all small to large scale AV events. You will ensure that AV technology architecture and governance are in consideration of strategic plans, our goals, and our mission for self service and efficiency. This role is full-time onsite (5 days/week) and is a great opportunity to join a scaling team to help build our Audiovisual function at Roblox.

You Will:

• Provide onsite AV support at our campus locations with occasional alternate or satellite support and/or travel

• The ability to design, propose, setup and test AV solutions for conference rooms, custom specialty spaces, auditoriums, and varying environments

• Be necessary to the project lifecycle by establishing client partnerships and collaborating with team members to provide the best client experience delivering the right AV solution

• Work with our Executive Partners, Events and Facilities teams

• Administer Zoom software updates to all devices through Zoom dashboard

• Create user guides and train end-users on Audiovisual systems periodically

• Establish processes, develop workflows, and make recommendations to management

• Aware of industry trends and latest technologies, implementing the appropriate methods to keep production on the modern while meeting financial goals and budgets

• Create sandbox/test environments for evaluation and testing of new AV technologies

• Have knowledge in switching, routing, multiplexers, control systems, display devices, scalers, amplifiers, speakers, microphones, rack layouts

• Manage and evaluate AV requests in our Zendesk and Jira ticketing systems

• Participate in our on-call rotation

You Have:

• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Audiovisual design, implementation and support

• 7+ years of experience in the Audiovisual industry

• Expertise with multiple Audiovisual platforms such as Zoom, Zoom Rooms, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams and Huddles etc

• Expertise with multiple Audiovisual hardware such as Neat, Crestron, Extron, Logitech, Shure etc

• Experience building new conference rooms, boardrooms, training room spaces and auditoriums.

• Experience managing and working with 3rd party vendors for large events

• Find out-of-box solutions to best fit Roblox needs

• Experience in SaaS application management with Google Workspace, Microsoft etc as it pertains to audiovisual integrations

• Experience in strategizing, thinking critically, solving problems and troubleshooting devices or software

• Experience managing your time

• Prioritize automation over manual processes

• Field experience, configuring and troubleshooting Audiovisual systems

• Experience working with ticketing systems such as Zendesk and Jira
