Nvidia is hiring a
Senior Data Engineer, AI Infrastructure - Autonomous Vehicles
We are now looking for a Senior Data Engineer! NVIDIA is hiring senior data engineers and architects to build and scale up the data ingestion & processing platform to accelerate AI system development. Together, we will build the software 2.0 cloud platform for one of the most exciting problems of our time: autonomous vehicles! Then we will apply it to other AI applications such as robotics, virtual reality, health care, genomics, data science and more.
What you'll be doing:Architect and build infrastructure and microservices to help index, mine, transform, compose PB sized DL datasets and debug sophisticated AI systems at scale.
Build scalable pipelines processing the interested data from our fleets of cars and simulators at scale!
You will mine metadata from the collected or simulated data and enable data discovery for consumers through clever indexing of the data.
Enable ingestion of data from cars and simulators adjusted to each individual use case and SLA.
Work at the PB's scale and also tackle ingestion use cases with ingestion SLA's in minutes and sometimes seconds.
Analyze and fix the issues of data pipelines and in most cases the data itself! Provide visualized metrics reports.
Partner with AI applied researchers and leaders to build future-proof infrastructure.
Collaborate across org boundaries with a diverse set of hardware and software engineers.
You have a Master Degree in Computer Architecture, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields (or equivalent experience)
5+ years of Work or Research Experience in distributed systems development and design.
Strong programming background that incorporates methodologies like data structures, design patterns, OOP, and test driven development.
Possess advanced programming skills to build distributed storage and compute systems, backend services, and data pipelines.
Strong programming skills with hands-on coding expertise.
A specialist programmer with experience in Go or the desire to learn Go.
Ability to craft technical design requirements and architecture in an agile environment to deliver production grade at scale systems.
Switch effectively between long-term strategic management and near-term tactical management.
Highly motivated with strong interpersonal skills, you have the ability to work successfully with multi-functional teams, principles and architects and coordinate effectively across organizational boundaries and geographies.
Experience working with sensor data (camera, LiDAR, RADAR, GPS, IMU, etc.), sensor calibration, GPS enhancement technologies for autonomous vehicles. Proficient with C/C++ in this case.
Advanced programming expertise in Scala/Python (in addition to Go).
Experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
Enthusiasm to collaborate and build supporting development infrastructure like CI/CD and DevOps.
A go getter attitude to dive deeper and understand technical requirements.
Experience building and operating stable data processing systems in production at scale.
With highly competitive salaries and a comprehensive benefits package, Nvidia is widely considered to be one of the technology industry's most desirable employers. We have some of the most brilliant and talented people in the world working with us and our engineering teams are growing fast in some of the hottest state of the art fields: Deep Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Autonomous Vehicles. If you're a creative data engineer with a real passion for distributed systems, parallel computing and autonomous driving, we want to hear from you.
Please mention that you found the job on ARVR OK. Thanks.
