As a software engineer in the Infra Compute organization you will create, support, and evolve the compute infrastructure at Roblox as we build out Roblox's Private Cloud.

The Infra Compute organization oversees:

  • Container orchestration and cluster management

  • Service-to-service communication and networking (including Service Mesh and the API Gateway)

  • Scheduling, provisioning, and management of the growing Roblox machine fleet

Come help us create, support and evolve the infra that manages the millions of containers that serve hundreds of millions of requests per second.

 

You Are:

  • 5+ years of experience

  • Care deeply about production health and reliable, sustainable production systems

  • Love for building and supporting networks, systems and large scale distributed infrastructure

  • Customer, team, and quality oriented

  • Like getting things done

You Will:

  • Be a technical lead of an engineering team of 4+

  • Own the long-term design and implementation of our datacenter automation engine.

  • Scale out Roblox’s network of world-wide datacenters that host millions of Roblox players.

  • Solve the complex problems of datacenter drift, datacenter turnup/rebuild, and patching/upgrade through automation software.

  • Be technically proficient in GoLang and Kubernetes design patterns: Controllers and CRDs.

For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.  All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits.
Annual Salary Range
$233,840—$283,780 USD
