Senior Frontend Engineer

NVIDIA’s GeForce NOW instantly transforms nearly any laptop, desktop, Mac, LG TV, Samsung TV, SHIELD TV or Android and iOS mobile device into the PC gaming rig gamers have always dreamed of. The GeForce NOW developers, publishers and Client Services team builds platforms and services to bring an ever growing array of features for game developers, publishers and gamers.

What you’ll be doing:

• Collaborate with UX design teams and frontend development teams to analyze UX designs and translate them into scalable, cross-platform frontend solutions that deliver a unified and delightful user experience.

• Architect and implement a common codebase that supports cross-platform UX design, considering platform-specific constraints

• Optimize frontend code and assets to improve performance and responsiveness, particularly considering performance constraints on low-end CPU devices

• Conduct performance testing and profiling to identify bottlenecks, optimize critical rendering paths, and ensure optimal user experiences across devices with varying capabilities.

• Collaborate with multi-functional teams, including backend developers, designers, and product managers, to align frontend development with overall project objectives and timelines

What we need to see:

• Expertise in applying design patterns and architectural principles to create a common codebase that supports cross-platform UX design.

• 5+ years relevant experience.

• Demonstrated experience in optimizing performance and responsiveness of web applications, employing techniques such as code minification, image compression, lazy loading, and caching strategies.

• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, along with modern frontend frameworks and libraries (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js)

• Solid understanding of responsive design principles, mobile-first development practices, and cross-browser compatibility

• Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with the capability to work effectively in multi-functional teams and mentor junior developers
