Senior Infrastructure Software Engineer
NVIDIA is developing AV software to power L2-4 autonomy in consumer vehicles, and as part of that effort, HD mapping software is required for localization, it provides crucial information for driving, and it increases safety via redundant systems. Building large-scale HD maps at low cost is a big challenge. It requires a strong infrastructure to store and process PBs of data. We're looking for professionals who are passionate about solving problems for modern AI infrastructure. In this role, you will work alongside leaders in the HD map industry to build a reliable, scalable and efficient HD map infrastructure.
What You'll Be Doing:
Build and improve a reliable HD map pipeline in both AWS and on-premise clusters.
Improve the stability, scalability and traceability of our map making pipelines.
Design architectures of high-performance cloud software.
Design and implement tools and libraries to boost the efficiency for other teams.
Resolve a wide range of technical issues to ensure the throughput of our production pipelines.
What we need to see:
Bachelor, Master or PhD degree in computer science, software engineering or equivalent experience.
5+ years software development experience or 3+ infrastructure development experience.
Excellent knowledge on data structure, algorithm and operating systems.
Strong programming in one of Python, Go, Java or C++ with robust and efficient code.
Familiar with Linux, Bash programming.
Experience in software development based on AWS or other cloud providers.
Familiar with both relational and non-relational databases.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Outstanding problem solving skills.
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
Background in system metrics monitoring and alerting.
Experience in big data and stream processing(Hadoop, Spark, Kafka or Flink)
Experience in task scheduling, resource management in large distributed systems.
Solid understanding in Kubernetes.
A history of building infrastructure for AI.
