Senior Services Software Engineer - Omniverse
We are seeking a Senior Services Software Engineer to join the Omniverse Services Team within Omniverse Infrastructure. In this role you will be responsible for helping bring Omniverse and its hundreds of applications to the cloud and to datacenters, creating cloud native software, engineering libraries used by thousands of engineers, extending the Omniverse Farm distributed compute platform and sharing knowledge, standard methodologies and engineering expertise with domain expert teams as they transition to distributed environments.
Our stack is comprised of many technologies and frameworks running in containerized environments (docker, Kubernetes, etc.), on desktops, bare metal and virtual machines and with libraries written in Python and C++ providing abstractions and implementations around data access, transports, compute patterns and more while using industry standards including OpenAPI, AsyncAPI and OpenTelemetry to name a few.
What you’ll be doing:
Design, build and deploy cloud native as well as hybrid applications with an emphasis on high availability, speed of delivery, and maintainability.
Extend and maintain a library-centric microservice framework and platform purpose built for Omniverse scale.
Collaborate and assist other Omniverse teams with building cloud native applications.
Write highly maintainable code with attention to detail, good extensibility while handling deliverables.
Contribute to the team’s engineering practices, using your experience to improve software development methodologies, delivery mechanisms, testing modalities and processes.
What we need to see:
BS degree in Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
8+ years of proven technical experience.
Advanced Python or C++ and experience with both languages.
Background with developing microservices and distributed systems.
Experience delivering software libraries and frameworks used by hundreds or thousands of engineers.
Experience building and deploying fault tolerant, high availability software.
Background with at least one cloud provider and ideally multiple providers.
Familiarity with continuous delivery and integration of software including tools, strategies, and systems.

The base salary range is $176,000 - $333,500. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
