Senior Software Engineer - Automotive - 12 months fixed-term
NVIDIA is looking for a highly motivated Automotive Software Engineer to join its dynamic, collaborative and fast-paced customer delivery organization. In this role, you will be supporting the organization’s efforts to adapt NVIDIA’s autonomous driving software stack to various target vehicles. This position requires strong software development skills (C/C++), bring-up, profiling and debug, understanding of automotive E/E, as well as excellent customer-facing skills.
What you’ll be doing:
Supporting the adaptation and deployment of NVIDIA vehicle automation software in customer vehicle variants.
Developing customer specific solutions of the NVIDIA automation software (i.e. adapt various modules to support different sensor architecture).
Supporting the investigation and debug of issues on bench, simulation and vehicle (test-track and public roads).
Working closely with teams around the globe (Functions, Software, Hardware) to achieve a seamless, scalable and robust implementation.
Excellent C/C++ skills and experience in development on Linux/QNX.
Experience with a scripting language (Python, Bash, etc.).
Embedded systems knowledge.
Great communication and analytical skills.
Proactive “can do” attitude and a great team mate.
Willingness to travel around Europe to support NVIDIA partners.
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or similar major, with 5+ years of experience in a similar or related role.
Past role as ADAS software engineer at a Tier 1 or OEM.
Experience in NCAP and ADAS functions testing and validation.
Experience implementing algorithms in Robotics, Computer Vision and/or Machine Learning
Familiarity in working with different sensor technologies such as camera, lidar, radar.
Understanding of vehicle architecture and communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
Experience with version control systems and build systems (Git, bazel)
Knowledge of relevant regulations and applicable (safety) standards for typical ADAS features (e.g. ASPICE, ISO26262, FMVSS, EuroNCAP).
Hands-on knowledge of component and system integration, testing and verification on system and vehicle level.
