WHY CONTENT SAFETY?

As a Senior Software Engineer on Content Safety, you'll focus on Child Safety. You'll build systems to identify and address some of the highest-risk and most challenging problems we face, including predatory behavior and child endangerment. You will report to an engineering leader on our Content Safety Team.

You Will:

  • Build high-scale systems to detect and address problematic behavior on Roblox
  • Identify opportunities and build tooling to support investigators, working in close partnership with our operations team
  • Help define the team's roadmap and technical foundations towards keeping users on Roblox safe
  • Shape how the next generation of internet users interacts safely in the metaverse

You Have:

  • 7+ years of experience in software development
  • 7+ years of experience building and shipping products to production in any domain, such as backend, frontend, or ML.
  • 7+ years of experience working on multi-person codebases, including open-source or personal projects
  • 6 years experience developing large-scale backend services, production ML systems, or building customer-facing user experiences

For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.  All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits.
Annual Salary Range
$267,720—$331,640 USD
