Senior System Software Engineer

"DRIVE OS Team" is searching for a hands-on systems and software architect to design ground-breaking solutions that will revolutionize the world of transportation and the growing field of self-driving cars. You will collaborate with hardworking and dedicated multi-functional engineering development teams across various vehicle subsystems to integrate their work into our autonomous driving DRIVE OS SW platform.
What you’ll be doing:
Collaborate across software, hardware, safety, and product management teams to translate product vision into requirements and architecture design documentation
Drive technical solutions for new concepts related to vehicle interface abstraction, vehicle network topology and infrastructure, data flow and time synchronization
Design, document and optimize software architectures and frameworks for real-world performance while matching or exceeding customer requirements
Engage in exciting, fun and challenging work involving a plethora of unsolved problems
What we need to see:
BS, MS in CS/CE/EE or related engineering field or equivalent experience
5+ years experience
Excellent C and C++ programming skills
Experience designing, developing, and debugging complex systems
Solid understanding of QNX, Linux and real-time operating systems
Experience from hardware to application-level architectures
Ability to self-manage and adapt in a dynamic environment
Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
Knowledge of automotive systems, notably ADAS applications and preferably autonomous driving systems
Embedded system, SW/HW cross-domain knowledge
Background with QNX operating system
Experience designing vehicle electrical architectures
Hands-on and work well within a team of system, software and hardware engineers, with a significant level of detail orientation and a penchant for data organization and presentation
Excellent communication, presentation, social, and analytical skills; the ability to communicate complex interaction concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization.

The base salary range is $144,000 - $224,250. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
