"DRIVE OS Team"  is searching for a hands-on systems and software architect to design ground-breaking solutions that will revolutionize the world of transportation and the growing field of self-driving cars.   You will collaborate with hardworking and dedicated multi-functional engineering development teams across various vehicle subsystems to integrate their work into our autonomous driving DRIVE OS SW platform.


What you’ll be doing:

  • Collaborate across software, hardware, safety, and product management teams to translate product vision into requirements and architecture design documentation

  • Drive technical solutions for new concepts related to vehicle interface abstraction, vehicle network topology and infrastructure, data flow and time synchronization

  • Design, document and optimize software architectures and frameworks for real-world performance while matching or exceeding customer requirements

  • Engage in exciting, fun and challenging work involving a plethora of unsolved problems

What we need to see:

  • BS, MS in CS/CE/EE or related engineering field or equivalent experience

  • 5+ years experience

  • Excellent C and C++ programming skills

  • Experience designing, developing, and debugging complex systems

  • Solid understanding of QNX, Linux and real-time operating systems

  • Experience from hardware to application-level architectures

  • Ability to self-manage and adapt in a dynamic environment

  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Knowledge of automotive systems, notably ADAS applications and preferably autonomous driving systems

  • Embedded system, SW/HW cross-domain knowledge

  • Background with QNX operating system

  • Experience designing vehicle electrical architectures

  • Hands-on and work well within a team of system, software and hardware engineers, with a significant level of detail orientation and a penchant for data organization and presentation

  • Excellent communication, presentation, social, and analytical skills; the ability to communicate complex interaction concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization.

The base salary range is $144,000 - $224,250. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
