Senior System Software Engineer, Smart City

We are looking for a passionate, extraordinary engineer for the Metropolis team as a Senior System Software Engineer to develop microservices that runs on Nvidia software. Come join the team and see how you can make a lasting impact on the world.

What you will be doing:

• Architect and build scalable and distributed cloud native applications, compute and data pipelines that process 1000s of camera or sensor data,

• Architect, design and use your coding expertise to optimize, deploy and productize AI models. Write effective, maintainable, and well-tested code.

• Collaborate closely with the architecture, research, libraries and tools teams at NVIDIA to achieve ideal results for AI problems at hand.

What we need to see:

• A Bachelors or Masters Degree in computer science related field or equivalent experience

• 10+ years of proven experience in Data Engineering, worked on designing and developing software with Big Data, Data Analytics, backend microservices architecture, and heterogeneous data types at scale

• Proven in-depth experience in creating ETL pipelines using Python, SQL, Scala, Kafka, Presto, Parquet, Streaming, events, bots, cloud ecosystem.

• Experience with data pipelines/analysis/visualization tooling such as Elastic stack, Logstash, Kibana, Kafka, Grafana, Pandas, Message brokers, Data modeling.

• Extremely good at algorithms and data structures, aware of end-to-end latency of the entire data pipeline

• Strong understanding of Container Orchestration Systems(K8s) and Container Technology.

• Expert knowledge and experience working with System internals of Unix/Unix-like kernels such as Linux.

• Strong background in Cloud Computing and Distributed Software design and development.

Ways to stand out of the crowd:

• Have experience in leading a full development cycle of a complex technological solution - from architecture to deployment.

• Have experience and passion for system architecture, CPU/GPU/memory/storage/networking.

• Stellar communication skills.

The base salary range is $216,000 - $333,500.
