Senior Systems Validation Engineer, High Speed IO

We are now looking for a hardworking Senior Systems Validation Engineer to join the DataCenter Systems Engineering Group for High Speed IO validation. Working in the Systems validation Engineering team, you will be responsible for validation & debug of all current and future designs at NVIDIA. Work as part of a team with board design, circuit design, architects, silicon validation and partners to ensure successful product development with aggressive product cycles. The qualified candidate should be comfortable in a lab environment and should demonstrate a passion towards creation, execution and improvement of system validation plans.
What you’ll be doing:
Participate in system validation of new datacenter products with the objective of driving product to mass production.
Maintenance of overall validation plan for HSIOs. Develop new methodologies to improve the system validation process.
Interface characterization to ensure electrical compliance to industry standards (PCIe, USB, Infiniband/Ethernet and other high-speed SerDes interfaces)
Functional stress testing and stability improvement.
Driving root-causes analysis efforts of hardware failures through lab experimentation and collaboration with other teams within NVIDIA.
Resolving system and board issues related to signal integrity.
Supporting Application Engineering to resolve customer issues.
Drive design and methodology improvements for future product based on what is found in the lab.
What we need to see:
BS or MS degree in EE/CE or equivalent experience.
10+ yrs of relevant industry experience.
Strong problem solving, debugging, analysis and logical reasoning skills with examples to prove it.
Deep knowledge in system bring-up of high-speed serial links, lab testing, and defining equipment needs.
Good knowledge of signal integrity simulations, high speed signal measurement and SerDes designs.
Proficient in the usage of electrical measurement tools such as oscilloscopes, BERTs & spectrum analyzers.
Knowledge of link jitter budget for high-speed serial links and key block level requirements.
Familiar in debugging platform level boards /systems for high speed SerDes.
Basic understanding of PCB layout and high speed board design issues.
Basic scripting skills (Python,Perl & Shell) to automate validation effort.

The base salary range is $152,000 - $287,500. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
