Senior Ultrasonic System Engineer

The Sensor Hardware team is responsible for design, development and test of reference sensors for NVIDIA products and platforms. We are seeking an Ultrasonic Lead Engineer to drive USS system design in engagements with field and technology teams for groundbreaking applications such as Robotics and Autonomous Vehicles.
What you’ll be doing:
Work with system design and safety teams to understand application use cases. Lead USS and MIC system design to solve function needs.
Identify key sensor metrics with perception team and develop models to assess USS capabilities. Use those models to translate system requirements into sensor level requirements.
Collaborate with mechanical team to find the best integration solutions for USS sensors. Provide integration guidelines to ensure sensor data quality.
Engage with sensor suppliers, lead technical analysis of hardware specifications and data quality test reports. Evaluate emerging sensor technologies.
Define technical approach and plans study to evaluate sensor performance. Develop tools and scripts to analyze data. Conduct analyses, and actively contribute to team technical studies.
What we need to see:
BS in computer science, optical science, physics or related field or equivalent experience.
5+ years of proven experience
Outstanding data analysis skills.
Proficient with Matlab or python, experience with Windows and Linux environment.
Excellent interdisciplinary skills, ability to connect with many teams at all project stages.
Fast learning and good troubleshooting skills.

The base salary range is $124,000 - $235,750. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
