Software Engineering Manager - Cloud Foundation

What you’ll be doing:

• Collaboratively set the strategic direction of the team alongside our partners in IT, Security, and Product groups, aiming to improve operational efficiencies and drive innovation.

• Grow and develop talent in the cloud infrastructure engineering team while building and leading product execution plans.

• Aligning and leading a multi-functional team without authority, while fostering excellence and continuous process improvement.

• Continuously engage with our external partners across cloud service providers (CSPs) to achieve the highest levels of product performance, efficiency, and quality. Align all parties with clear requirements and track against well-defined OKRs.

What we need to see:

• A Bachelors, Masters, or related computationally focused science degree (or equivalent experience).

• 8+ years of overall experience in software development, distributed systems and cloud computing.

• 3+ years of leadership.

• Proven experience in people management, hiring exceptional talent and building great infrastructure platforms.

• Deep understanding of public cloud computing challenges and best practices with emphasis on security, operational excellence and cost efficiency.

• Experience in Python, or a similar OOP language.

• Excellent verbal, written and communications skills.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

• Strong domain expertise in 2 or more public cloud providers including Azure, OCI, GCP, and AWS.

• Hands-on experience building cloud infrastructure using Terraform CDK or a similar technology

The base salary range is $192,000 - $368,000.
