Nvidia is hiring a
System Verification Engineer - New College Grad 2023
NVIDIA’s invention of the GPU in 1999 fueled the growth of the PC gaming market, redefined modern computer graphics, and revolutionized parallel computing. More recently, GPU deep learning ignited modern AI — the next era of computing — with the GPU-accelerated servers acting as the brain of modern data centers.
The NVIDIA Datacenter Systems group is looking for an expert ASIC Design, Emulation, or Verification Engineer to help us build a new era of System Verification at NVIDIA. The complexity of our accelerated computing platforms now exceeds the capacity of traditional verification strategies. We are on a mission to move the extensive simulation, emulation, and design automation techniques typical of ASIC design into our board and system development. This System Design Verification Engineer position offers the opportunity to apply your ASIC design and automation background into a system engineering role to make a broad impact across our datacenter system products.
What you'll be doing:
Define and develop highly configurable internal verification software.
Automate flows and methodologies to verify Systems.
Develop design rule checks covering connectivity, signal and power voltage, and custom rules for digital and analog components.
Implement RTL models for board level components to enable system level simulation and emulation.
Define timing verification flows for high and low speed interfaces traversing boards and cables throughout the system.
Work with industry standard scripting languages (Perl/Python, Make etc.).
Collaborate with hardware and software teams to implement our vision of fully functional boards and systems at power-on.
What we need to see:
BS or MS in Computer or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
Experience in verification, RTL development, mixed signal simulation, and synthesis.
Coding skills in Perl/Python or other industry-standard scripting languages.
Strong problem solving, debugging, analysis and logical reasoning skills.
Excellent verbal, written and presentation communications skills, organizational capabilities, and collaborative interpersonal skills.
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
Experience developing models using Verilog-A, Spice, or equivalents.
Background with PCB design including schematics, layout and high speed interface design and simulation.
Experience with Emulation platforms
