NVIDIA is looking for an experienced Technical Software Project Manager, with prior hands-on SW development experience, to join its Infrastructure, Planning and Processes organization. In this role, you will deliver a broad cross-organizational impact by defining, enhancing, evangelizing, rolling out and supporting a Software (SW) Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process across thousands of engineers, who are working on diverse SW projects ranging from GPU SW, Tegra SW, cloud services, open source SW, Artificial Intelligence SW (AI SW), ML (Machine Learning) models, datasets, tools and SDKs!
What you will be doing:
Be an effective leader in crafting and driving adoption of an efficient SDLC for delivery of high quality, secure, safe, reusable and reproducible SW. You will:
Define and improve NVIDIA's SDLC, including specifying required activities, guidelines, templates, metrics, and compliance checklists across SW requirements, architecture, code development, testing, release, operations, and end-of-life.
Engage with SW technical leads, managers, project owners and SW security team to improve SDLC to make it more robust, clear, usable, flexible and efficient.
Prepare and contribute in developing an SDLC roadmap.
Craft common strategies and automation plans with SW teams.
Influence multiple SW teams to embrace SDLC, and drive compliance across SW organizations.
Develop and deliver trainings on SDLC.
Gather and address questions, issues, change requests and drive them to closure.
Regularly communicate the status and key issues to management.
Navigate and complete complex projects on time with minimal input.
What we need to see:
5+ years recent Project Management experience in driving the planning and execution of software projects and processes.
3+ years previous experience as a software developer or software QA engineer.
Proven history in successful Project/Program Management of software products and processes.
Experience in evaluating and driving adoption of new SDLC process workflows, with demonstrated passion in the value of SDLC.
Navigate and complete complex projects and processes on time with minimal input.
You understand the pressures of a software engineer, to effectively lead them in projects as well as process.
BS/MS Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
Background in leading medium to large cross-organizational projects.
Experience in developing machine learning models, datasets, Cloud Services, or Open Source SW.
Experience in bringing a novel project to a good end.
